I just got a set of Avid mech. brakes for $75 (calipers, 6" rotors, adaptors, bolts), but the brake pads are a little worn down (one set is at about 70%, while the other is around 40-50%). So I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for a good set of brake pads for dry weather. And also, later down the road if I find the brakes to be building up to much heat, I may get some 8" rotors, so you guys got any suggestions?
Aztec makes an adequate pad. EBC golds are the best though.

I read a few reveiws of the gold pad on mbtr.com and they were rated pretty poorly. Do you use them?
