Hello all.

I am a fat, middle aged bike rider from Central NY. I have been riding for about 10 years, having started riding as rehab exercise while recovering from a leg injury.

I ride a Trek 2200 and do between 2,000 to 2,500 miles each season plus trainer time. I just completed my first Century ride with only 2 brief stops to buy water. With the help of a support car at about mile 70, I was able to complete it in 6hrs and 13 minutes. Now, I know that's no big deal, but hauling my big fat butt up the hills of CNY is hard work!

Anyhow, I'm here to pick up training and equipment tips from the group. Not sure how much, other than humor, I can contribute - but I'm glad to have found this place.

Ride safely and well,

LMJ
