Today was a sunny 35 degree day. I made a 30 mi ride from Pittsfield up rte 7 to Williamstown 5 corners and back. On the leg north I passed a fellow peddler heading in the opposite direction. We were both happy to see another winter biker and waved to each other enthusiastically, which doesn't often happen to me when I'm riding my folder, as most roadies tend to ignore me.
Since I "winterized" my Dahon MuP24 by adding SKS fenders and Schwalbe Marathon winter studded tires last week I have been out three times in all kinds of weather. It feels good to be back on the bike after a month and a half layoff.
