that is a great ride. i highly recommend it! the wind can get pretty bad but the climbs aren't as bad as i've heard some people claim they were...bring a camera and some pot. it's also easier with a few other people along for the ride. i've done it twice on my mark v. do-a-ble, so do it.

+1

Expect winds, bring bud, enjoy your ride.
I want to try Sonoma to Santa Cruz someday...I might have to make it a two-day event, though.

did you do it?

I rode my Giant, singlespeed, from Santa Cruz to Halfmoon Bay for some sushi, and back. 4 hours each way, an hour in between for lunch/stretching. it was my first century. Knees hated me for a month or so, but I'm recovered and about ready for my next long ride. Immensely satisfying. If you rode to SC, I'd be down to ride back to SF with you, maybe make it a two-day thing and stealth camp along the way
