Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Olympics or Adlympics

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
So I'm trying to get the schedule for all the cycling events and I'm getting pissed because the whole site is slow and cumbersome and all of a sudden I'm staring down the barrel of a full screen chicken mcnugget commercial. I suspect that the games will be littered by more ads than content. I'm sick of constantly being bombarded by advertisements. Is the only refuge in books? I'm surprised the marketers haven't started printing ads on toilet paper in public restrooms yet. I can see it now "Welcome to Cincinnati, using Charmin makes you happy!" or how about "When you're in the Big Apple and your ass is filled with crapple just remember to thank Snapple for the paper to clean your craphole." To top it all off I never did get the schedule.

Here's a schedule of all of the cycling events. This is not a TV schedule and all times are 'Athens' time.

Or how about tampon's with ads? They could be color coded and their design could coordinate with both before and after use?

Four words: Mountain Dew Code Red
I'm sorry...
They could apply the whole eXtreme ad philosophy where everything is eXtreme because eXtreme is a buzz word and it'll sell if it is eXtreme. Tampax eXtreme flow. Of course eXtreme would be in a font that looked like lightning bolts or something. The commercial would be some pissed off punk rock girl yelling at a bumbling cashier "Hurry up!!! Damn it! Don't you know how to work that register?!" and the narrator chimes "a new product designed for you eXtreme lifestyle, new Tampex X-treme." and fade to black as you hear punk rock girl belting and flooring the cashier. I should be in marketing.

They do have it, in a way. I visited the Ohio State Fair a couple weekends ago, and the restroom nearest the main gate was sponsored by one of the toilet paper companies... I kid you not. Ads were pasted all over the stalls, attached to the mirrors & sinks. And... get this... they were playing that loopy commercial (the singing bears -- I think that's Charmin?) over and over and over. Gaa! The only thing they didn't have was an actual bear mascot walking around. Scary.
Funny. I want to work for that company.
