I am planning a trip from Portland to NYC for this time next year. I'd like to ride it in six weeks or less since getting more than that amount of time off work will be pretty much impossible. I'll probably do a combination of self-contained/credit card -- carry a tent and sleeping bag but sleep in motels when I can. Anyone here have route suggestions for that specific trip or something similar?
