Folding Bikes - buy my Raleigh Twenty (shameless self promotion)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I have recently posted my heavily upgraded Raleigh Twenty folder on ebay. This would make a great first folder or travel bike and has a lot of potential. Please check it out.

Wouldn't it be great if everybody selling a folder on eBay posted it here?

I thought that there was an Ebay/Craigslist finds threads for folders, but I was unable to find it. I knew about this thread and this community because I have spent time reading and posting here; most people who sell folders on ebay probably have no such connection. Therefore, I felt alright posting this as a very unique item that a folding bike aficionado might be interested in. I even had the decency to cop to the shameful nature of my venture.

There's a folding bikes marketplace thread at the top of the folding bikes thread listings. Unfortunately, only premium members can post in it.

It seems like Bike Forums is not a really great venue for selling your equipment, the threads go long unanswered, and are few.

looks a good bike.

But to be less shamefull you could have done a build thread with various pics. Then put your advert on the end of it. lots of people like to see the work thats gone into a bike.

just a tip ............cause I like 20s a lot
you need to make better pics , its all dark and loomy and the dark color of the bike doesnt help. Clean it up ( is it dirty in the pics ? ) polish the cranks ( waterspots or oxydation , there is something on the pics???) and you should be much better off

The cranks have some blemishes, and the bike isn't spotless, but it is clean and mechanically immaculate. I wish I had some pictures of the build, but the long and arduous process wasn't documented. I would have gotten some better pictures of the bike too, but I didn't feel like waiting for the right conditions to light it, so it is presented in all of its slightly diminished glory.

Looks like a nice bike, but I would not buy a bike mail order again because I had an unpleasant experience buying an Raleigh 20 from someone else here a while back - and I just noticed that that same guy is still trying to sell things here on the For Sale board! No reflexion on you, Themanmachine. Im sure you're honest, but that experience soured me on buying a used bike sight unseen.

Picked this up from an old Englishman today. Actually in pretty decent shape. Just needs a good cleaning and some attention to the brightwork. I love that it has the original (and working) hand pump. Just need to find a chain guard. I think I did well for $75.
