Ok, so I'm moving into a new apartment, and about a mile away I found this little dirt jump park kinda thing. It seems to be on private property, and it looks like no one's maintained it in a while. As I was leaving, two guys in a truck with bikes in the back drove up and I asked them who owned it and if he cared if people rode it. They said they weren't really sure who owned it, they thoguht it was the farmer who's field it's next to, and they said no one ever cared if they rode it.

What should I do about it? Find the actual owner and ask his permission to ride it and maintain the jumps? Just go ahead and ride it without bothering to ask?

Where can I get info on fixing up dirt jumps that haven't been cared for in a little while?

Looks like it has potential to be a greta dirt jumping sport. It'd be best if you tried to find an owner to ask permission, just to be on the safe side. Don't want some crazy shot gun carrying hillbilly to start shooting at you.
