I read a while ago about the health benefits of incoperating nuts & seeds into ones diet. I am currently eating with my Muesli, Sunflower Seeds (Highest Vitamin E nutrient food there is, Skin Health), Pumpkin Seeds (Highest Magnesium nutrient food there is), Sesame Seeds (Ultra high in Copper, Magnesium, Vitamin E etc & FlaxSeed (Highest Omega 3 fatty acids food there is, Skin Health).

I also read that Nuts & Seeds were high in fat (good fats) & calories which concered me a little.

And, I was wandering, would anyone have a weblink or the knowledge to how much Nuts & Seeds someone should be consuming per day???...

Thoughts, Please...

I'm sure they're great. Most people feel that they have to resort to meat when being an athlete.

Interesting that Carl Lewis (arguably one of the top track athletes ever), during one his best years, was on a vegan diet. So I'm sure that beans, seeds and nuts helped him get the various nutrients he needed.

And for sprinters like Carl Lewis, the explosive power and strength are essential. So if he can excel on a vegan diet, I can only imagine how much a cyclist could benefit.
