Happy Double Nickel to ya both!
It says something about each of you that you've been together so long, and still like where you are! My hat's off to you both.
Keep showing us how it's done!

Congratulations. You've been married longer than I've been living.

You and Kay are simply great. Anyone who makes it to 55 is worth a tremendous thumbs up. My parents hit 56 in June, and they are my heroes. So are you and Kay. Congratulations.

Our secrets to our long and happy marriage?
We still hold hands . . .
Tell each other, daily: "I love you!"
I open the car door (or any other door) . . .
After all this time, we still say 'please' and 'thank you' . . .
Bring her flowers . . . although it may not be special occasion . . .
Let's face, we both are just a couple of old and very happy romantics . . .
Pedal on TWOgether!

Way to go you guys. I bet it seems like only yesterday.
I have not been able to say this for a while... "I was not even born then!!"
Congratulations to you both. Awesome effort. We have our 28th anniversary next weekend. We're only beginners

I hate these teenage marriages- they never last.
Well done.

Proves the old saying" "Whichever way your relationship is heading, a tandem will get you there sooner."

Congratulations. You folks are an inspiration, much as my parents are who will celebrate their 59th this summer.
Sadly, I was unable to follow thier example. My first ended after 21 years. My new wife and I will have to live to 104 and 102 to reach the marker you have set.
A goal to strive for.

Every good wish
From me and 'er
Who still hold hands, do the courtesy, and she's kind enough to let me captain the bike and drive the motorbike
And she hasn't once said anything about 'you're so bikey smart, you with the brokey leg...'
(In her place, wouldn't have been so kind!)
So, on for the next 50? *I hope so
Congrats to you both! Divulge as much as you'd like-but how did you meet and how long have you been riding bikes 2gether?

To answer some questions:
We met on a tripledate back in 1951 in Detroit, MI.
She was dating the other guy, and I was dating the other girl . . .
Eventually we dated each other.
She even waited when Rudy signed up for a 4-year stint in the Air Force.
In 1955, after making enough rank to make marriage financially feasable, we were married.
Upon applying for our marriage license (the fee was $2 then) she reached into her purse and plunked down a buck saying she wanted to do her share!
Talk about a sharing/caring/loving woman!!!
Been riding single bikes since the early 1970s. It was a family hobby.
In 1975, on our 20th wedding anniversary, surprised Kay with a shiny new 'real 10-speed' Follis tandem.
Been riding TWOgether ever since and so far have pedaled 225,000+ miles as a l-o-n-g bike duo.
We are now on our 5th tandem . . . but we're still on our first marriage.
One regret . . . should've married that girl sooner!
Ain't love grand?!!!
Pedal on TWOgether!
Rudy and Kay/zonatandem
. . . and thanks to all for the good wishes!
That part about plunking down a dollar is priceless! Glad you folks found each other.
