I have a Ciclo CM436M which I love and a Magellan Meridian color GPS unit which I love. Unfortunately, when I decided to mount the GPS to my bike, there was some kind of interference with the Wireless tach system on the CM436M which rendered it useless, thus I can't use the two together. Has anyone else had a similar problem and more importantly, any suggestions? I'm sure a wired tach computer would solve the problem but I really like the CM436M and wired products are slowly becoming obsolete anyway. Thanks for any help.

I have similar problem with my gps and satellite radio. I can sometimes fool it by turning on the gps before the radio. Certainly mounting them as far apart as possible would help. You could contact the manufacturers for help. They need to know these units are conflicting. It has been a big problem with vehicles and gps's and satellite radios. You might try the gps and xmradio forums, to see if they have found any solutions for their conflicts that might help yours.

I had the exact same problem with my Garmin eTrex GPS and Cateye wireless cycle computer. I removed the cycle computer and just use the GPS for everthing. If you're not familiar with the eTrex series, they are about 1/3 size of the Magellan and most people mistake it for large "regular" cycle computer. Switching to a wired cycle computer would certainly solve the problem.
