Just wanted to introduce myself.
I live in the midwest and am on this forum because I own an AMF Roadmaster Silver Streak single speed that I was given in 1959 by a family friend. It is either a 1957 or 1958 based on what the person who gave it to me told me. He had purchased it for himself, but after a year or 1/2 years, he found he was unable to ride it due to back problems, so he gave it to me for my 10th Birthday. It was ridden a lot when I was younger, but has been sitting over the years until a week or so ago, when I had it fixed up. I have ridden it a few times in the past week, although a broken chain put the dampers on it for a while.
I am trying to find out the exact date of manufacture. I have the serial number.
Of course, it is not for sale so long as I can still ride it <g>.
