Sunday 01/31.... Started off running into KingsHockey and his wife. A quick hello then we meet up again at the Honda Center park. Some reason I thought they would stop but I was wrong so I missed the video. I can be slow at times. Joined DutchBoy2 and the Greasers somehwere near Kraemer so we turned back with them for a few miles on the trail. Wow, all strong riders! Pace was a little too much for Gina so we ended up dropping off somewhere near the soccer fields. But while we were with them, we were entertained by Dutchy's stoker. I don't know his name, but might call him "Maestro" after his conducting of the band on the bike haha! At one point he puts his head on Dutchy's back. I asked if he heard a heartbeat. He says no, Dutchy has no heart, but a mechanical pump which s pretty close to the truth! In the video but might not be able to make it out, guy is crazy though!
So a couple minutes after we drop off, I see the RiverVeloBoyz fly by in the opposite direction, a big group. So I turn around and give chase for the peleton shot. Working my butt off, I catch up for a couple clips. Few guys turn off so I keep chasing the main pack. I Finally I catch them but it takes a few miles, guys weren't slowing down! I get a clip form the back but by the time I make myh way up to the front, might be a few more miles before I recover so I just drop off an settle for the butt shots. I know Gina's miles ahead of me on the way to the coast . I never do catch her so I make my way alone.
At the coast we meet up with El Monarcha and his daughter doing a 25 miler along with Tammy and Alan. We cruise back with T&A at a decent pace, nothing too fast but not to slow. Tammy is trainign for the LA marathon and does a ton of running on Saturdays...............and I was tired so I didn't mind a pleasure cruise back.
Did see Insidious Meme and EvilEuro a the coast. Evil is evil against pics so like Nacy, no vid etiher. But anice day with plenty of forum members!
