Im lookin into a used SC frame for some trail/dh riding. For the singletracks I go to, I am looking at an 03' heckler frame on atomics....also found a used v10 but may be a bit overkill. wanted any feedback on how the heckler rides as a dh and how it drops.

v10 is overkill...its a dh bike.

Heckler is a do it all bike. From what I hear from people riding them, they are great...good overall geometry. Drops...ummm speed, wheelie how high?...it drops fine. Any bike can drop depends on the rider...

yeah.....thought the v10 looked a bit much. would have to sell a kidney to buy one as well.

My Heckler rode and handled well, I would recommend it to anyone that does not want to race. I sold it for a bad-ass Trek Fuel though, a difference of 7lbs and worlds faster.

The heckler would be a great bike for the intended use.
