Thought I'd throw this introductory post up before I get into the meat of the forums!
I have a Cannondale Team Scalpel mountain bike and a Motobecan aluminum and carbon road bike.
Although I've riden off and on throughout adulthood, I'm REALLY taking training seriously as of late.
A friend and I will be leaving Reno on June 12 for an 800 mile (in 8 days) bicycle tour to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. I'll have a Bob trailer, he'll have panniers and we will sleep on the ground! (maybe a hotel a couple of nights but our route will be really unpopulated across Nevada). It's been really fun shopping for and buying VERY lightweight camping stuff.
I've been riding with serious cyclists at a shop on platform rollers in front of a big screen. What an amazing program! There are seven stations and we either do a 20 mile or 38 mile circuit. I participate a least 3 times a week, have been for 3 months now (Reno winters can be rough).
Anyways, I was excited to find this site and look forward to future posts!
The reason my screen name is raydog is....that's the name I use for a couple of motorcycle forums I'm on. Cheers.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
