I'd like to give the half marathon a go but not sure of the elevation gain. Is anyone here familiar enough with the course/route to speculate? Thanks all.

The first time I went down to ride Diablo, one of the guys I went with forgot both his helmet and bike shoes, but he had all his running stuff with him. So he decided to run up the northgate road. We left probably 20 min after him and didn't see him until about 2 miles to the top. We did go up and pick him up from the top, but he did get in a 13 mile run with 3600 feet of climbing
