I've heard of them breaking - as in SNAPPING pretty easily. But, if you are new to bmx RACING then it's not a bad bike to have some fun on. Do NOT ride freestyle on that bike at all as it will definitely be dangerous.

What do you use the bike for? It's a long aluminum frame - for god's sake - DO NOT RIDE STREET ON IT AT PERIL FOR YOUR LIFE!

No seriously, the bike is designed as a lightweight racing frame, not as a street/dirt/vert/flat bike. I might trust that bike for some flatland, but the design is completely wrong for flatland.

For the cranks... What kind are they? What brand? It doesn't really matter what they are made of if they work though. They are either forged steel, tubular chromoly, or aluminum. If you take a picture of them and post it then we would have better luck telling you what they are.

yeah, i dont have a camera, but it said SD on the side, it was its little emblem, but i took it off to paint the whole thing. but seriously, thats not a good bike for "street"? is that street racing or tricks or what. i know like nothing. but anyways, im pretty sure theyre tubular chromoly cuz its not aluminum for sure, and steel would weigh more and rust, which that hasnt. also, after i got off every layer of paint, it was like goldish-chromish, if that helps. well, thanx, i dont have any clue of bikes. the point is, is this a good frame to race random people on?

the frame is good for bmx racing only as said by bmxtrix....don't use it for freestyle which is street, vert, dirt, and flatland.

Basically, you don't want to do anything to harsh on the bike. Anything where you say... jump five or six stairs on it, and land on solid pavement or hard ground. You can jump, but you gotta land smooth, not on flat ground. You must not grind on it, you must not get in abusive situations on it.

But, racing around on streets is fine, taking it to the track is fine, riding anywhere is fine. Just don't do the stuff that you feel hard on your body on that bike, because if it is hard on your body, it is HARDER on that bike, and it will break... then your body will break... ugly bloody mess... yech.

Oh, and the monocoque is definitely an aluminum frame.... but as I said, not sure of the cranks. If this is really similar to what your bike looks like, then there is a good chance you have tubular chromoly 3-piece cranks.

He knows a lot and speaks his mind. That looks like a nice bike for racing, no front brakes!!! All racers have no front brakes usually, my brakes are crap.

yeah, so i just use my bike for racing people, so is it also good for dirt racing? well, i dont have front brakes, and i dont have rear brakes. i just dont have brakes, gotta get some though. well, yeah, my bike looks different from that one up there, i only have the same frame and stem i guess. i had Sun Rims, dont know which one, oh yeah, it said Big Fat Rims on it, but i switched to some gt's cuz they weighed less and werent as bent. i have bulletproof hubs with sealed berings, and yeah i have a three piece crank, 180 mm, my fork is kinda thick though, dunno why, and i took the handlebars off of my other gt, a 97 vertigo i think, cuz they also weighed less and the other ones were all messed up anyways. but the point is, wut do you think of my bike, i think its ok. ok ill make a list of my stuff

Frame: Haro Monocoque
Handlebars: 97 GT Vertigo
Fork: I dunno, but theyre chromoly
Hubs: Bulletproof
Rims: GT
Stem: I dunno, the stock one
Crank: 3 Piece, i dunno, SD i think it said
Sprockets: I dunno,
Seatpost: its made of aluminum, pretty light
Seat: GT
BB: I dunno, theyre semi sealed. Theres like three major peices for each of them, and then the ball bearings

well yeah, im sorry for being stupid, but i dont know anything about bikes, help me out here

It's a fine bike. As long as you like it too. Ya you can use it for dirt racing but be careful, just not freestyle. Bmxtrix explained this already.

your cranks are definatly chromo, tubular aluminium cranks cozt a fair bit and usually dont come standard on a bike but chromo is the most common metal for tubular cranks
