Hey Tri Guys,
Anyone here have a Slice? I'm thinking about picking one up for Time Trialing. I can get a 105 Slice5 from my shop for roughly $1600 and I feel that it's a pretty good deal.
Based on my research, it seems to be the best bike for the money. Can anyone share their experience with this bike? Likes and dislikes?

No personal experience, but the general consensus seems to be that the bar setup is below the standard of the rest of the baike, and that it is well worth swapping out the stock base bar for something like FSA Vision bars.
Having said that the stock bars didnīt stop Chrissie absolutely crushing the bike part of her Kona win this year....

Well... also pros don't use stock bars, she used one from Hed, and her HI-MOD comes with integrated vision aerobars standard.
Sounds like a good deal for the bike though, I agree that replacing the bars eventually would be a good option.

She used the Hed bars on her 2008 Cervelo and her 2009 Slice in Kona, but not, it would appear, at Boulder long course (which was the photo I had seen). Sorry for any confusion.

Slice's depend on the year. I assume you are talking about the current model, so my experience won't help you much; I have a 2007 Slice, which is still the aluminum frame. I understand they went to the carbon frame in 2008 (or 2009, not sure).
Anyways, I love my Slice, but I have made some big changes to the cockpit, raising up the elbow pads, and getting the j bend aero extensions. The rest of the bike is great, taken me through two IM's so far, along with numerous other distance races. Climbs well, as well; completed the Aubrurn Half (aka 'World Toughest', with 6000' of climbing in 56 miles of bike) I do have a compact double front with an 11-28 rear, which helps with the climbing.
Overall, I am quite happy with it.

Nick I plan on replacing the base bar with a Visiontech AL base bar. You can find them for $90 on the interwebs.
If you search I think I've gone on about how I think the 2010 Slice 5 is a category killer. BB30, Arione saddle, sweet black/green paint.
