A friend and I both started out on single speed and now are riding fixed. But I've come up against two problems...I'm riding an 08' Fuji Track and find that only after riding for a month or so my knees are constantly sore and two...I can't skid. My gear ratio is a 48:15. Any suggestions on what I can do?

Ok, if you tried the search function, you would find all your answers. Its not that hard. Try that first then ask questions.

Long story short, go to a larger cog, somewhere in the 17-20 tooth range. You won't go as fast, but your knees will be less sore, and it will be easier to skid.

sure he will, he just to learn to spin well. I kept up with E-rock on 48:19. yeah, since your knee hurts ride the lowest practical gear until you heal/toughed up, maybe even go back to SS so you can coast down the hills.

tendinitis sucks
