Posted this in the Road section but just so happy I bought this for my son I thought I'd share it with all my fellow clydes. One thing this kid will never be is a clyde, scrawny little bugger. He must have been on the trainer for an hour when we got it home after fitting at LBS. Spent about 35-40 minutes doing that. Kids gonna kill me in a few years. He cranked it up at the shop and had a cadance of 165 in 34-17. Friend at LBS even dropped his jaw! Not bad for a 12 year old.

He can hold 165 for about 5 seconds but 150 for I'm not sure he just kept going till I told him to back it off! After this was posted he managed to hit and I mean just hit 180, man his little legs were pumping.
Nice Ride.
If I showed this to my daughter, I would be out a bit of money.
Enjoy your time riding together.

If he can hit and hold 180 for a fair bit, you might want to enter him in Gold Sprint comps, usually held wherever cyclists booze it up.

If you are near Oshawa then yes we are practically neighbours.
Naaa, That kid needs a set of Zipp 404's and toss the crank for an SRM.

That's awesome! Don't give up on him being a clyde.. maybe he'll be tall!:)
Is he going to post here?? Maybe as Weecoming?:p I think maybe a vid of him cranking out that cadence with some speedmetal would be good.
