Just bought a tub of Vitamin B tablets, looked at the nutritional stats and they have massive amounts of the vitamins.
B-12: 5000% RDA
Thiamin (B-1): 3500% RDA
Also a lot of Riboflavin, B-6, Pantothenic acid, Niacin, and Folic acid.
Why do they put so much in? Is it healthy to ingest such large amounts?

To minimise any imbalances caused by the consumption of other foods.
Its healthy. Water soluble vitamins are excreted, must be replenished every day .

Actually, even though they are water soluble vitamins they are retained with higher efficiency than needing to be replenished every day because they stay inside the cell or are carried by proteins to their location. Vitamin toxicity can occur with any vitamin, but I'm not sure of the amounts needed for each one you listed. If you're concerned you should speak to your doctor about them and how much you should take daily.
