I love the magic drivetrains that these concepts usually have.

Design school students knock out stuff like that all day while they're in school. When they graduate, they find out what a hard business it is, and end up designing peanut butter jars.

i don't understand how the rear wheel spins
i don't understand how the drive train works
i don't understand what is supporting ur weight on the saddle
i don't understand how that handlebar is suppose to turn
i don't understand why concept bikes never pay attention to functionality

if a concept bike is never meant to be functional then I welcome all their creativity. If it is meant to be functional then I don't understand how anything works on that bike.

lol.

I think they should take this one step further and make a concept carbon unicycle with spokeless rim drive...

Really? I didn't know that, nor do I really care - imo the bicycle wheel is a thing that doesn't need any radical changes to make it better anyway. My point only was, that this Peugeot bike is not as futuristic or even just original as it looks.

So they just made the axle and bearings wider to take up the whole inside of the wheel, then made the axles hollow? Sort of? Cool Idea. But it looks different than the way these wheels would work.
