I'm trying to find information on cycling PV. It seems none of the bike shops there have working websites, most links I find are dead. Several years ago, before I loved cycling, I went on a day mountain bike trip with Bike Mex. It was great but I'm at a higher level than that now :-) I might resort to calling Bike Mex to see what else they offer, however I would be surprised if touring was popular.

Ideally a 300-400km self-guided tour around PV would be great. Or a small group with a checkpoint system so you can ride as you please. I don't think I would feel comfortable just winging it like I would in Canada/US/W. Europe.

Anyone have any information or suggestions?

Thanks.

Did you ever find any information about biking around Puerto Vallarta ? I'm headed there in December and would like to do riding as well. The only working web page I found was for EcoRide tours (http://www.ecoridemex.com/) and this was guided day mountain bike tours.

Nope sorry. I'm probably just going to drop by BikeMex when I get there and do some day tours.

I did a day tour with them once a few years ago, so I can recommend them.

Hi,
there is a resort north of PV that does Mtn bike tours. I was down there a couple years ago; but wasn't looking to do any bike riding.
I have to say it didn't look like a good place to ride a bike. Inside town the traffic is wacko; outside looks like a desert.
