Hello,
I'm interested in riding the Camino de Santiago (pilgrams trail) in northern spain but don't have a bike or panniers over here with me. Has anyone had any experience riding this and know of anywhere we could hire bikes and gear for the trip? Alternatively does anyone know of anywhere in Spain where it would be possible to hire bikes and panniers for some touring?

Dave,
It is not quite the same thing, but there is a tour I did last year in northern Portugal (www.fcarvalho-ciclismo.com), which included luggage transfer - I think they do bike hire as well. I would definitely recommend it, although it is a pretty tough route (some days are 90 miles in the mountains) and it is self-guided.
