Or own Ron (spingineer) had an experience he posted on his Facebook and blog, but not here. I'm outing him.

Cripes, Ron. Glad you're mostly okay.

I was on Montebello the very next day. Wet and strewn with crap. While descending, I went into a turn a bit too hot. With not much traction available for braking, I locked up both wheels and slid all over the place, but somehow managed to stay upright. Scary.

Anyway, take it easy and get yourself all healed up.

OK, someone has to ask:

Was the bike OK?

Was the bike OK?Are you kidding? That Seven was forged in the fires of Mount Doom, by the dark lord Timex.

Scary fall Ron, I am glad you didn't get hurt worse. Sounds like the fall didn't jeopardize your double plans.
Heal well!

I was just too lazy to post here ... no problem Curtis.

I'm okay. Left arm is a bit weak, so climbing will be a little bit of a challenge. I'll try giving it a go back on the road next week, but we'll see. Meanwhile, took the bike in for inspection.

Hopefully, this is early enough so that it won't affect my double plans. Looks like I'll have to make good use of my trainer, which I really haven't used at all. And yes, the seven is rock solid, and still going strong. More durable than me at least. No cracked frame for this Ti boy!

Actually when I post a blog, it automatically updates on Twitter, and my twitterfeed automatically gets updated on Facebook. Too many social networking outlets.

Can you have your twitterbooknets automatically dispatch a carrier pigeon to those of us still chillin' in the twentieth century? :P

Ron, I posted it because after a bad experience you need to collect all the love you can. I knew you'd get a bunch here.
Now, we know the frame is OK, but check that fork!

That looks painful, Ron. Really glad you're doing okay and wishing you a speedy recovery.

Thanks Curtis. I do appreciate it. And I do appreciate all the love and all the support from everyone here ... you guys are the best.

One thing's for sure ... this got me a lot of hits on my blog! :)

Ron, I think the stem faceplate and the bar somehow looks a bit crooked. Let's see what the shop tells ya.

Other than that, welcome back!

Reiterating best wishes from twitter (retwitterating?). It has to be said, Ron had a rockin' pirate look for a while there.

At least it sounds like you don't have to spend money on a new helmet . . . . :innocent:

It sounds like you may have tweeked a tendon or ligament in your arm. Unfortunately, the only cure for that is time (assuming, as it sounds like, that surgery is not needed).

I am sorry this happened, but I extremely happy that it ended up being relatively unserious.

Heal well. Looks a like a perfect opportunity for new bike bling.

Ouch! Glad you are recovering. Your blog about having all your clothing cut off made me laugh - I had the exact same experience. Don't the EMT's know how expensive bike clothing is!?

Hope you are back on the bike soon.
