Hi

What do you people make of this?
(no relation to seller, thinking about buying it though...)

http://auto.ricardo.ch/kaufen/fahrzeuge/sonstige-fahrzeuge/rennvelo/v/an597490116/

It's a swiss auction site, and the BIN price is kinda steep for my wallet, but all the sparkly gold and the SR componentry are interferring with my brain...

Is it worth it? Maybe even an ok deal?
(600 Swiss francs = roughly 600 $)

Many thanks for advice&information!

Pending better pictures I'd say yes, a complete Super Record bike is worth $600. If you've been following these pages lately you'll find the typical build cost for a full Super Record bike is $1000+.

I think Magni was made by ICS, so if it is equipped with full Super-Record ICS it's worth over $3000. An exceptional bike ! btw the cranks look pretty shinny, good chance it is an ics modifyed crank.

I'm not at all familiar with the Swiss vintage bicycle market, but I'd say it is, subject to the cosmetic and mechanical condition, which appears very good. Magni was a famous Italian professional cyclist of the 1940's and 1950s , who went on to become a team manger in the early 1960s. Gimondi rode a Magni for his 1965 TdF win.
