one is made by a company called rocky mountain, the other by a company named soma
neither is vintage italian made from columbus steel. neither come stock with spinergys nor aerospokes, so don't waste your time

You don't want to put your money on both coming out of the same Taiwanese factory?

the only reason i asked is because i have rocky mountain boroughs right now. the only stock parts on it right now besides the frame, is the fork, headset, and seat post. i was considering buying a soma rush. i was just wondering if i would be wasting my money buying a frame that is the same quality/worse as the one i own now. but i dont even really think its worth it anymore. i am now looking at the blank kilo TT's. the're cheaper, and nicer imo.

sidegrade?
You know, not an upgrade, not a downgrade, you're staying on the same level, but still spending money.

i see what you mean. thats what i was owrried about
So I ask you, what's wrong with your current frame? Do you just want something new/different?

buy bikes for geometry, you won't really feel different grades of steel.
the rush and boroughs seem to have similar fairly aggressive geo. they'll probably feel similar. the rush is a better steel, but it's also 1" steerer.
kilo has odd geometry. not really a fan of it.
change up either to something more road angles if you want something a little more slack, or go to aluminum if you want a frame with a material that will feel different

i found that the boroughs, rush, and other frames like the flight 100 have very similar geo, and im just getting bored of it. im looking for a more tight frame.the comfort level is way up there with tighter frames imo. im looking at the kilo, its cheap and has a tighter geo. and is still light and pretty strong. but im still looking.

wat
boroughs has steeper sta and hta, shorter chainstay length and wheelbase.

just from looking at pics. heres an example

kilo (same size)

Keep in mind, the numbers are more likely to be accurate than a picture. Like they say, looks can be deceiving.

i agree. but the kilo looks tighter, does it not? i would be mad if i ended up getting this frame to get the exact same/looser geo

Boroughs, Rush, Kilo are all pretty much the same exact bike. Other than slight differences that you prolly won't feel under real world conditions. Save your money.

that much of a change in sta, hta, wheelbase, and chainstay length you will feel.
bouroughs to rush, you probably won't feel it
rush to kilo you will feel something. it might not be much, but the geo is pretty different
heads up, geo is not a function of wheel gaps.

I was trying to put it nicely, that the OP doesn't understand enough about bike geometry to really feel the subtle differences in these 3 frames.
After looking at his bike setup it really doesn't make a difference in what frame he has.

sorry, that last part was for the OP who seems stuck on the fact that the kilo having less space between the tire and the tubing makes it more aggressive.
as good as a point that you make, i'm guessing this is something he just needs to buy and see for himself.
