They just sent me an email about their new saddles. Here's the scoop:

Leather Button Saddles
- Classic styling with real leather cover
- Black, White or Brown Leather
- Chromoly Chrome plated seat rails with graduated marks for easy adjustment
- Padded with Ergo Cutout

More details can be found on their website (http://www.fyxation.com/blog/fyxation-saddles-are-here).

Don't call me a spammer, just passing along an item of interest.

looks like a summt branded regal knockoff i saw at a shop. it's a plastic shell with a small cutout in the plastic that's covered with padding and leather. i thought the leather was synthetic though.

Whats up with the pricing, in a few seconds I was able to find the genuine, non-cheesy, and widely tested version for around the same price (http://www.totalcycling.com/index.php/product/SD_REGAL_WHT.html?action=currency&id=USD). Plus without the funky, corny decal. The titanium rail version of the regal is a bit more pricey, but honestly, what fixed gear rider is that concerned between the difference between chro-mo and reinforced steel rails?

Just sayin...

I'm only posting their release, not a recommendation. But you'd have to get in line behind the guy that stripped his hub.

How come only the titanium regal has the smooth black leather? The cheaper one has that hideous "textured" leather. I'm in the market for a saddle, and while I think I'm likely just going to hold out for a Brooks, I'd be interested if they made the steel railed version with the nice cover.

Shipping is $23, since Total Cycling is in the UK. I nearly bought a Brooks from them, until I realized the total cost would be more than elsewhere.

Another 10 sec search and I found this: http://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=S0068
Sure this version comes with some weird texture leather, but its $69 including shipping. And the leather on this regal looks like far better quality than that on the fxy saddles. How does fyxation expect a cheap, cheesy-looking knockoff to compete with the real italian deal for basically the same price? Same with their tires, I mean they do look sweet and otherwise Id buy them, but at $50 I would definitely be looking at some similarish looking and probably better quality randos (http://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=Y0002) for much cheaper.

Is it me or does the nose look sort of thick? Honestly I'd just go with an Okami for cheaper, or sack up and buy the real thing. I do like their tires though...

Thanks for posting this Brian and for the kind words guys. The saddle is not a re-branded Okami. It was made to our specs. Plus its a leather saddle not synthetic. Let me know if you need any more info.

Thanks!
