We have a saying in our household when something is either well put, true or just plain funny ... "beautiful, just effing beautiful". You know what pcad, that phrase fits your posting perfectly. Thank you for the laugh. It's been a very trying day for me.

commuting from home to home means no excuse for turning up late. the traffic was terrible.
the more important question is are you riding outside in the snow or indoors on a trainer. not whether you are "working" or not.

Actually, I think there's some company - may be Japanese - that's offering modular small nuke reactors about the size of a large garden shed that will power 25,000 homes. You only need to refuel it every 10 years, and you can bury it in the dirt in the backyard. That's on my want list.

Have you ever considered how different life would have been on Mt Doom,
had the Internet not been invented to enable Pcad to vent to an audience?
I'll bet he would be devising ways to lure the neighborhood kids onto his lawn,
just for the satisfaction of chasing them off.

Looks like I'll be joining you Johnny Lunchpails tomorrow, my 6 day weekend has come to an end (http://primewriter.com/news-1246-headlines/?p=3833) with only a 2 hour delay tomorrow. At least Monday's a holiday.
I've spent the better part of three days 'snowed in' with a friend, who was 'snowed in' at my place over the weekend. God bless the snow. Also, god bless whiskey, red wine, and good food.

Back when I had a J O B, we only had 3 choices for a "snow day" -
1. Go to work.
2. Take a vacation day.
3. Take a day without pay only if no vacation is available.

We got the outlook for the workflow for the next quarter from our big client. We're going to be very busy.
That family trip to Greece is looking more likely. The bicycle goes with me (always does).
