Training & Nutrition - Drink beer to prevent bone loss!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Many of us have heard that lots of cycling can cause or contribute to loss of bone density. AFAIK, the mechanism is not known. But I always knew there was a good reason to drink beer after a ride:

So at least three pale ales a day with about 500 calories?

Nothing better than a nice cold bottle of quality beer (Leffe is my choice) after a long, tough ride. I think more than 1 though and recovery starts to slide in the wrong direction...
