Anyone doing it?

I had finally gotten up the courage to try it last year but had to go out of town.

I'm going to give it a shot this year.

Don't know the date exactly but am assuming it is the 3rd of April.

April 3rd is the Bellingham 300k, so I'll be doing a bit of climbing up here. Nothing as steep as the RvOP, but the 542 climb up Mt. Baker still isn't anything to sneeze at.

You should definitely do it. You have nothing to lose.... except perhaps a bit of pride if you give in to the internal argument you may or may not have along the way of "should I get off and walk?" Don't give in!

I'm an old guy and feel no shame walking my bike up some hills. That said I don't have to do it often but I think that on a ride of this nature I will be walking at some point.

I might swing down to Portland for this ride. It looks like an amazing, brutal, satisfying way to spend a day.

Well, if you're going to walk your bike, this is one ride where not only will you not be scorned, you'll probably have more than a few others for company.

While the ride is officially off this year I think I can talk a couple of buds to give it a go. See you out there.
