Just got these in the mail for my flot & chop bullhorns (looks like I will have to cut off the little "flip" I left in them to fit these in) and wondering if the way to route the cable is through the INSIDE of the bars and then drill a hole in the center to let the cable "out" and then route it to the caliper?? Also, looks like I need to slip that black collar off to fit them in, hope that's ok.

Well, that's one way to do it. Or you could just route the cable normally and tape around it.

How in the hell would I do that??? the cable comes out of the center of the silver part that is used to expand and keep the whole assembly in the bar. I don't think theres a way to do that unless you kinked the cable at such drastic angles it would bind and not work.

I would definitely not drill bars not designed for internal routing. You'll create a flaw that stress can concentrate in, and if it breaks you're going to impale yourself on jagged aluminum tubing at speed, which would suck.
Those may not fit in flop and chopped bars, depending on the inside of the bar and exactly where you cut. They wouldn't fit in mine. You can take off the shim, if you don't need it. If those brakes don't have a cable exit allowing you to "aero" route the cables under the wrap, then I'm afraid you're not going to be able to use them. You could save them until you've picked up some purpose-made bullhorns- personally, I don't like the way those are shaped much, so I've stuck with clamp on levers.

well, i'm drilling......doubt a small hole in the center of the bars (where they are thicker already) will make much of a diff. and cutting the "flip" i left at the end to make them fit. we'll see.......
