Some of the upside-down U-shaped racks the city uses have even been cut and the gap covered with stickers, he said. Bike thieves simply slip out the locked bicycles.
Definitely something I'll be watching out for now =O

Outstanding! God help someone stealing my bike. Those kids got lucky. It surprises me that a lot of the
local bike crews don't run sting operations. Street Justice is the only justice.

Stripped them & sent them home in their underwear. I love it. Next time I'm at 6th & Grand I'm gonna say thanks to the bike messengers.

I bet I know what Craigslist posters they were too. Dudes had a river of bikes coming in for sale.
The other side of it is the Police auctions for pennies and the CL sellers who then ask $300 a bike. CA market is rediculous.
