Do any of you use these? They come in all kinds of widths and work miracles
in achieving a perfect chainline for those of us who don't have Phil BBs
with the adjustable spindle.
Just installed one yesterday. My chainline is now only 0.04mm off, which I consider
perfect, except when viewed on paper.

WTF? Your chainline is .04mm off? Do you know how little that is? That is almost the thickness of an aluminum beer (or pop) can. .04mm of vairation can be from your chain. Don't worry about it. It won't make a difference. also making a .04mm bb spacer would be hard.

No, the chainline was off before but now the BB's been spaced over so it's only off by 0.04mm. That's the NEW deviation.

it's a spacer that goes between face of bb shell and locking cup.

what i meant was; what are they made out of, and where does one get them?

Do the spacers make pedaling awkward? If one leg is a few millimeters out because of the spacer, that would be weird.
