I started off with high food count and medium food reproduction and low population number and came out with a pretty famine resistant population. There is minimal food available, but the population numbers go off the chart and have been holding steady. Pretty cool. I introduced some genetically different animals into the population and their genetic code was quickly dropped in favor of what was already present.

It would be more awesome if you could change parameters midgame and/or build separations. I think it would give an even more realistic view of evolution.
yeah, change the climate and seeing how they adapt would be interesting to watch.
it's biology (DNA) at work, and you get to see it which makes it more entertaining.
they only number in at a sustainable rate.

Yeah, that's what's cool about it but if you could put them in a more realistic situation, it would be fun to watch the changes that occur.
