Introductions - greeting from Temecula,CA

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hey,
I'm just one town over in Murrieta ... I just got back on my bike a couple of weeks ago after about a twelve year hiatus. I've just been riding the local neighborhood roads and venturing out further and further. I've got a few co-workers that ride and we're trying to arrange for a lunch time jaunt. The roads that circle the Redhawk Golf course are pretty nice, I rode them yesterday for the first time. I think it's about 6 miles or so around it. There is a bike shop off of Los Alamos called I.E. Bikes that does rides every Saturday morning. I haven't ridden with them yet but they advertise for riders of all levels. Hope this helps.

I used to live in Temecula; moved there in 1986 when there were only two traffic signals in the whole town. Moved my frameshop there in 1987; left in 1993. Russ Denny who took over my business is in Murrietta now. http://www.russdennybicycles.com
...I ride my 'quick 20~30 mile flat road circuit' in the FrenchValley area north of the Justice Center...still exploring the roads around here...Winchester Rd between Benton and Washington bad..very bad!!!...my struggling 26-mile 'variable effort ride' is from eastbound Benton to Lake Skinner to westbound to Rancho California to northbound Jefferson to eastbound Murrietta Hot Springs to northbound Winchester is a good one...very good!...ride safe and see you folks on the road someday!
Blue Rat...I read your profile...I, too, had a red Bridgestone MB1 'no-suspension' mountain bike...a great mountain climber...shoulda' kept that one...probably a rarity now, huh?...whodathunk?

Welcome Will...I commute to the Temecula area from Fallbrook once a week...Hate the urban growth..But , maybe if they expand the road from Lake Skinner(Borel) towards Rancho California, we will get a bike lane..
Sooner or later it will happen, unless the water runs out..I love riding the wine road area and do a swing about Redhawk in route to Rainbow Canyon Road south.. After that point you are out in the country.
How is the ride about Murrietta going north..? Any routes worth riding.Yeah, Often I ride towards Fallbrook on a Saturday Morning after my work commute..Almost always you will see the IE bike group riding towards the Fallbrook area. Hope to see you on the road sometime.
Final question ..Is the Sunset Inland Velo bike club still riding.?

That bike totally rocks!! Mine is not red though? I added a first generation Rock Shox fork to it about 12 years ago. The seals are shot so I will be putting the Richey Logic fork back on. I don't know what new mountain bikes weight but that MB1 with the suspension fork came in under 25lbs, steel frame and all.

A contractor where I work took $150 play money to Pechanga..Did some slots, but mostly Black Jack..Jimmie said he came back with $15,000. Pechanga. So what are the odds of that.

Jimmie is getting a divorce.. Hope he does not have to disclose. She already has wiped out his bank account..If I were to win that much money, I would get my wife something nice..Jewelery?
As to me, since I won the cash....I would have a brand new Litespeed and Bruce Gordon sitting in my garage...Wow, two bikes like that..Might almost equal a new Jetta?
