I'm wondering what anyone can tell me about this frame and what it's worth:
Benotto
Modelo 500
Fillet brazed
"Benotto" on the rear dropouts and the seat stay ends.
Heavier frameset than the Tange 1 and Reynolds 531 I have handled.
BB spindle is Campy taper I believe, but not Campy.
No other parts included when I got it.
I think a regular threaded cartridge BB may fit in but I didn't take off the drive side.

It has "74" stamped on the BB shell, no other numbers.
couldn't find much info on Benotto online, just a few 70's models that seem popular.

I'm not sure if I want to spend any time/money making it a fixie and flipping it or just selling the frame to save myself time.

Entry level Benotto, high tensile frame. Is there a country of production (Mexico or Italy) indicated on the bike. The good news are that even it is made in Mexico, the high-tensile frames were not prone to notorious failures the better frames were, so it is usable. The bad news is that there is not much value on the frame...

That's what I was thinking. Hi-ten or such.
I'm thinking it could be cool to make into a fixie and flip but I'd have to find cheap campy taper cranks and a wheelset.

I'll probably try to sell it first though. I'm thinking I just don't have the time for another build.

Any other info on this frame? It's got very little in the way of traditional markings, but it does have most of the manufacturer decals you see there.
