First off I would like to say hi to everyone at bikeforums.net, this being my first post. I am in the process of starting my own bicycle shop here in Brooklyn, and have been an avid bicycle enthusiast and mechanic for the past 9 years, being 23 years old now. I recently purchased a beautiful 1972 International Rand Sport 2000, and cannot find any information on it anywhere on the internet. I have included an image below for reference. It is in near outstanding condition, with only minor damage to the paint in various places. It has a 2 piece crank, 3 speed Sturmy hub, Weinmann brakes, and all original components, excluding tires. Any information would be extremely helpful. Thanks!

It's a lower end German made bicycle. I had a men's one, except that it came with a Sachs hub instead of a Sturmey Archer. Approximate Value, I'd guess about $60-$75.
Rand International was (is) an exporter/distributor. These bikes were more hardware store fare than bike shop stuff. Better than a Huffy, but not up to par with a Raleigh.

Well that's disappointing to hear. Good thing I've gotten offers of over $300 so far, I was hoping for more :) I'm suprised there isn't more information available on these if they were mass produced. Guess its time to let er go!
+1 $75 +/-, department store quality. Sell it quick.
There were thousands of department store level bike brands during the bike boom. Until someone gets interested in creating a website for them (and they will), you are not going to find information on individual brands.
