I have a shimano 6402 freehub body and it broke and since that part is dicontiud is the another shimano freehub body that would be comparable with it

That's an 8-speed hub, so any 8/9/10 speed steel freehub body is compatible. I've swapped Shimano cassette bodys among various Shimano hubs and they're generally cross-compatible.

The Shimano part number you need is 32V-9801. A Google search shows they're available all over the place.
