Hey guys. Need to know what you think of this frame. Suntour Cyclone RD. Something (as in the picture is so bad I can't make out the letters) SX crankset. Don't know much more. The seller doesn't know much about bikes, so I'm wondering what you guys think. It's going to end up as a college bike for my brother.

Its likely a 1987 Trek 1000, Cyclone 7000 derailleurs. Wheels do not appear to match which would depress the value some, and makes me check a lot closer for possible frame/fork damage. Also aluminum frame bikes do not command the price that a comparable steel bike gets. $200 around here in ready to ride, clean condition.

CA market is usually higher than around here.

Whatever you get, I'd recommend spending another $50 for a high quality lock as anything on campus that isn't a beater is being lifted these days...like my daughter's 1990 M400 Cannondale last week with a $15 lock being cut.
