Can't answer that one, but I can tell you that it gets wickedly windy and cold down there by November. If you've never ridden it before (although I assume you have) I'd bundle up with every layer you own. Also, there's usually hot chocolate at the beach house on the east end.

How was Caumsett? I didn't even know it's open this time of year. Did they actually plow out the bicycle/walking path? And did they charge you to use it?

Caumsett had been plowed and it was dry & clean. No charge. Nice riding, but a little windy. I'll go again this weekend.
To answer my own question, the Jones Beach bike path was snow covered as of 2/17.
How was Caumsett? I didn't even know it's open this time of year. Did they actually plow out the bicycle/walking path? And did they charge you to use it?
