Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I noticed theirs no officially rant section. Bikeforums is near critical mass(no pun intended) right now when it comes to # of forums.

Where o' where can I rant? Should there be an additional rant forum?

Post your opinion here. Justify your answer.

Does this (your post) count as a rant?

Can't you find a place to rant within one of the already categorized sections? Everyone else seems able to. Though I agree that having a dedicated place for off topic rants might occasionally save threads from being hihacked.

you talkin' 'bout trollheim?*sniff*

That devil's playground was the best thing ever. It is sorely missed.

But methinks that it twas either of the "Most Hated" threads that led to it's premature death, regardless of the official party line.

That is the weakest rant I have ever read.

The OP could just spout off in the Chat Room, but then no one would be around to listen. I just stuck my head in there- it's down for an upgrade. Honestly, I think that the Chat Room should be kicked to the curb. Every time I poke my head in there, it's as empty as a politician's promise on the campaign trail.

Back in ancient times, there was a sticky for the chat room, if someone was going into the chat room, they would say so, and of course people could see in foo that someone was going up there to chat. It worked well. Otherwise, people pop in, see no one, and leave.

Most sections in BF are Rant sections.

And some sections are nothing but ranting and raving.

A rant forum would tend to limit our desire to rant.

It's effect would be like when I have an overwhelming compulsion to get all hardcore for Vehicular Cycling, but don't have the patience to go sifting through all the fora to find it.

So I just end up marinating in selfrighteous zeal until the feeling passes, or I get distracted by a new topic in Foo.

I guess i should rant. That's what this thread is about isn't it?

I am really mad, and my stepdad is really mad as well. He was the former owner of a schwin mountain bike, and he had it for the past 15 years. Not too long ago, it got stolen. Right from our front yard because i forgot to put it in the garage, so yeah, i owe him a new bike. I wish we lived in a better neighborhood. Live and learn i guess.
