Hey all,
I'm considering building a 10x1 system for my road bike for urban use. The SRAM XX rear derailleur is compatible with their road shifters, from what I read.
The XX rear derailleur comes with a pretty long cage - long enough for the intended full 10x2 XX system. I don't need a cage that long if I'm only going 10x1... in fact it looks like the 'short' and 'super short' cages SRAM makes for their X0 and Red derailleurs are long enough.
My question is this: has anyone tried to fit a shorter cage onto the SRAM XX rear derailleur? Any success?
