Road Cycling - Sonoma/Marin county rides?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Anyone got any favorite Sonoma/Marin County N.California rides? Any a n00b would enjoy would be of interest...

I live in the city and mainly ride in Marin around Mt. Tam (I love the ride from Fairfax to Alpine Dam and up along Ridgecrest and do that route all the time). The furthest north I go is probably around Nicasio Valley - Marshall - Pt. Reyes.
Here are some some sites with ride listings for the North Bay (including Sonoma):
Valley Spokesmen rides (http://home.comcast.net/~prathman/MainPage.htm)
Velo Girls (http://www.velogirls.com/routes.html)

If you're a noob like me, then you can shorten that first ride into an easier 34 mile loop by turning right when you first hit the Pt Reyes-Petaluma road at the 14.4 mile mark and rejoin the instructions again when you pass the cheese shop and then turn right onto Novato Blvd. That misses out 30 miles, Highway 1 and a big hill :)
The 34 mile loop seems easier when you do it in reverse - the climbs are more gradual and the descents steeper.
If you want something even easier on the legs (I know I did initially) there's a very scenic 20-odd mile loop around Tiburon and Corte Madera that only has one real climb in it (the Alto grade, ~300' in a mile or so) and a nice under 20 mile loop through San Rafael and China Camp that's easy. The website I got those two off seems to be down so I can't think of the exact directions at the moment.
