I don't have the Altec, but I am a very happy owner of the next model up, a 2003.5 XLR8R, especially after I upgraded some components that I had ported to that bike from a previous ride. Generally, you'll find the Orbea's are very nicely made, well-finished and beautifully-painted. The Zeuss carbon stays and fork may not be the fanciest on the market, but they seem pretty solid and they take the edge off the AL main triangle. And, FWIW, the couple of times I've emailed Orbea USA with a question, they promptly replied.
