While in the DFW metroplex this weekend, I took my wife for Sushi at The Blue Fish in Las Colinas.

We had their "Ahi Tower" and it was heaven!:love::love:

Ahi Tuna, Crab, Avacado, Sushi rice, Sesame seeds, wasabi. Then mixed up at the table.

I need to go back to Dallas now!

Hey, lets not ruin Foo with Texas Sushi. Also, RUOkie, there is supposed to be some good sushi not far from Richardson Bike Mart.

I ride past this place on my neighborhood loop.

<seal clap!!!!>

Sushi good!!! Yum!!! I have a kind of "new wave" sushi place near me, as well as a classic and most awesome elegant Sushi place that I can walk too - but this place is pretty darn cool - and oh yeah Baa-coooon is used in some rolls - although I prefer raw, this place provides some experimental territory ...

I love though the South Wedge roll, not raw but ingredients are awesome (Smoked Salmon, cucumber, bacon and wasabi mayo).

I'm heading down to do laundry either Thursday or Friday night (oh yeah I haz a hell of a life, hehe) and am deciding on high end sushi or some very excellent Pho soup from across the street at a great Vietnamese restaurant - - Pho is going to win out though for $6.50 for basically two most excellent meals - I'm in (oh and laundry on the same block). However ... sushi ...

'nother big sushi fan here. Problem is, I can never remember the names of anything so I always have to go with someone who knows what's what so they can order for me.

While I would never voluntarily go to Dallas, I have to visit on bizness a few times a year. Thanks for the tip.

We have one of the largest populations of Asians outside of Asia. That's like making fun of Mexican food in Texas. People think of Texas all wrong. We are sophisticated rednecks.

I had a Horticulture professor at Texas A&M that wore a lab apron that read "You can lead a Horticulture, but you can't make her drink"!

[QUOTE=Tude;10417784deciding on high end sushi or some very excellent Pho soup [/QUOTE]

I go the totally opposite direction with sushi. Sure, there are the expensive, high-end places that prep everything individually for your order and offer pricey sake pairings with all their tastings... but I prefer the conveyor belt sushi joints like SushiLand Marinepolis (http://www.sushilandusa.com/) or Blue C Sushi. (http://www.bluecsushi.com)
You can't get the rare and interesting stuff that makes the high-end joints worthwhile, but if you're just interested in sitting down for a quick bite it's great.

I prefer sushi battered and deep fried.
