52) Going to see all the Christmas lights at night on the bike in the snow. With the digital camera. Then emailing the pictures to people who think it's too cold outside.
51) riding on lakes. Then emailing pictures to.......
50) all the swamps and some beaches get hard enough to go right over.
49) (my favorite) Riding in and out of the ice skaters on the public ice rink on your mtb with studs.
48) all the foliage is gone on the tight hiking trails making them easy riding, and making trail trimming easy too.
47) finding out that there is a winter riding forum, with some one who actually understands what the heck I'm talking about! wow!
46) remembering that last spring I actually missed riding in the snow and ice.
45) early sunset helps me rationalize putting a Lupine Edison 10 on my credit card a month before Christmas.
44) realizing that with the studded tires and about 25 psi I can ride over deep frozen footprints in ice I can hardly walk over.

-32 When skiing Whiteface (Lake placid/ Willmington, NY) I took a wrong turn! Approach trail then down onto upper Wilderness trail then down onto lower wilderness trail(Trail my ***** thats a cliff with huge jumps) :eek: You wish you had gone winter riding that day. I looked like the guy on ABC wild world of sports intro. :eek:

I've always encouraged downhill skiers to try winter biking, because it's like horizontal downhill skiing. I never imagined actually combining the two! Is this a bold new Olympic sport?

I wasn't riding I was skiing. I should have went riding that day believe me I should have gone riding I though it was time to kiss my butt goodbye :eek: !! The people that had seen me wipe out and stop to help. said I have never seen anybody do a half dozen kart wheels like that! I said only a half dozen? I could of swore I did at least a dozen :eek: All I seen was Sky,trees, and snow over and over again. That was one wicked wipe out. I got bruises all over me.

some pretty funny stuff has been said, im just getting into mtbing and this winter will be my first season period mtbing, so it will def be interesting to see how things go!!
-30 dont have to sit in snail pace traffic due to a few lousy snow flakes that scare people and make bad drivers even worse drivers

I like to ride in winter because it's one of the 4 seasons i like to ride in, Summer,Fall,Winter,Spring! YEA BABY!!!!!!

When your car gets stuck in a snowdrift, you dig it out, spread kitty litter around for traction, get a friend with a car that isn't stuck in the snow, and, after enormous effort, move the car far enough out of the drift to get it onto the road again.
When your bike gets stuck in a snowdrift, you pull it out and head on down the road.
9. Your hair gets frozen, so you don't get it in your eyes and mouth (if your hair is long)
8. If you start of real fast and get that nasty cold-cough, you really enjoy it when it disappears and you get your throat cleared and the squeaking noise stops.
