My girlfriend pulled a 3 wheeler out of a dumpster. Among other things, its missing a brake cable. Since it only has one brake - a drum on the front wheel - this cable is important to us. Where on earth do I find a cable for a drum brake? Do I just use a normal brake cable? I'll try to get pics tonight of the attachment points at both ends, if that'll help.

Without looking at the drum, I'm going to guess that it probably uses an ordinary mountain bike brake cable.

How are the rear axle bearings? In my experience those are the high maintenance issue with three wheelers.

Rear axle bearings are 'good enough' for now. The bottom bracket is shot & it needs a chain. The handlebars are welded to the neck, as is the seat to seatpost. Its rather hack. This thing will likely only be used on short trips when something needs to be carried. For instance, a keg will fit nicely on the rear platform. I think we have 7 other bikes between us (only 2 are mine), and are shopping for a tandem, so the 3 wheeler is definitely just around because it was free & is pretty funny.
