I have a niterider evolution plus system I bought 2 years ago, and replaced the battery last year. Now the stupid thing will not keep a charge again for more than 45 min. Even new, the battery did not hold a charge for as long as advertized. As far as the light up fuel gague, that has never gone beyond the 2nd light. I use the smart charge 6v fast charger that came with the unit and have tried different times on the carger. The connections are fine.

I am tired of buying batteries if it is the electronics in the light head. Anyone have experience with this light system.

Have tried actually contacting NiteRider support? Some equipment companies are very helpful. Also, some of their components are covered by 2 years warranty.

Typical Niterider, customer no service when you have a problem.. They will of course try to convince you to buy another battery at more expense to you.. Spend 90.00 and get a Magicshine.. When NR was the only game in town I spent lots of $$$ with them and whenever I had a problem, they could care less..

Had a similar issue with a NR12E that would not hold a charge, sent the light back to them 2 times and each time they said it's working fine for us.. When I would fire it up, it would work fine for 30 minutes and then drop into reserve.. There solution was for me to buy a $200.00 battery..
