Foo - We're moving this weekend

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

The wife and I finally got fed up with our downstairs neighbors, as well as our 821 square foot loft, and decided to move to a larger unit in the building. We found a 1182 sq ft loft on the 23rd floor with an incredible view. Some pics:

Very nice digs man. Maybe one day I'll actually make it down that way and see the new place.
I too am moving, but it is for my mother in law, who we are moving into a managed care facility for dementia. It has not been fun so far. I do not expect tomorrow to be fun either.

Where are the mountains and the trees? Nothing in those pictures for scenery but nothing. Nice joint.

Nice. The solarium is interesting. Great View.
I stayed at the West End hotel a couple of years ago in downtown Dallas. I wasn't aware that there were residential lofts.
So, how close are you to the DART terminal?

If I look down from the window in the corner of my bedroom, I'm looking right at the Akard Street DART station.
There have been residential lofts in Downtown Dallas for over 10 years. When I moved Downtown, there were only 4 or 5 buildings. Now there are over 15 that I can think of w/o having to look them up, and more planned (depending on financing). And that's not counting the ones in areas outside the CBD that are still considered to be part of Downtown, like Uptown, The Cedars, Deep Ellum, etc.
I lived at 2818 Elm for a few years back around 1989. That was some crazy times. I remember some of them.

Looks great, good floor plan. I guess the Solarium is kind of like a glass cage for the gimp? Its nice you can keep an eye on him from the bedroom.
If your interior was done by Kul, I have gotten incredibly drunk with a member of the design team.
Sigh ... I love lofts! Nice place!

The interior of the loft we moved from was done by Kul. Not sure who did this one.
One thing I forgot to mention: In the old place, I only had one bike in the loft, the Eddy Merckx, which hung in the entryway. The other bikes were stashed in storage. In this loft, all the bikes will be on display in the loft. 3-4 in the entry, and the wife's Biomega in the living room corner. The one bike that doesn't go on display will be in the closet. I might even convince her to let me hang the Vitus frame on the wall as art. We'll see.
